Roasted Maple Brussels Sprouts with bacon recipe, perfect for fall dinners and a great way to get more people to enjoy these lovely tiny cabbages
Roasted Maple Brussels Sprouts with Bacon
Prep Time: 5 minutes
Cook time: 30 minutes

Equipment needed: one heavy bottomed frying pan
Ingredients:
2 strips thick cut bacon
2 cups Brussels Sprouts-washed and cut in half
1 tablespoon maple syrup
pinch black pepper
pinch salt
Instructions:
1. Lay bacon slices onto a baking sheet. Bake at 350 for 15 minutes or till well browned.
2. Drain the bacon on paper towels. Chop into small squares and reserve.
3. Drain off the excess bacon fat, but do not wipe it off.
4. Lay the Brussels Sprouts cut side down into the residual bacon fat.
5. Roast for 15 minutes, checking that they are well browned before flipping over.Roast another 5 minutes.
6. Toss the Brussels Sprouts with the maple syrup, pepper, salt and bacon pieces.
