Glutened? Solution

The best way to treat a gluten intolerance is to completely eliminate the gluten from your (or your child's) diet.

No exceptions, no transgressions, no being slipped a cookie by Grandmom.

NONE!
How to mitigate those unfortunate indiscretions that occur when you go out to eat, or Grandmom hands your toddler a teething biscuit without thought that it has wheat, rye or barley in it?




My favorite common slip is the folks who want to feed my children Rice Krispie treats.    Yes, they are made from rice, which should be safe.  But they are sweetened with BARLEY MALT, which is not. Yes, I know there is a gluten-free version of Rice Krispies but the prepackaged bars that seem to appear at all the soccer games don't use that kind.

Luckily my girls are old enough and strong enough to advocate for themselves.
You have to hear them sometime talking about how not to feed a gluten intolerant child.

I might even video tape them.   Hmmmm....

My solution to that horrible moment when you first understand that the food you just ate had gluten in it?  Glutenzyme by Pharmax.
