No exceptions, no transgressions, no being slipped a cookie by Grandmom.
How to mitigate those unfortunate indiscretions that occur when you go out to eat, or Grandmom hands your toddler a teething biscuit without thought that it has wheat, rye or barley in it?
My favorite common slip is the folks who want to feed my children Rice Krispie treats. Yes, they are made from rice, which should be safe. But they are sweetened with BARLEY MALT, which is not. Yes, I know there is a gluten-free version of Rice Krispies but the prepackaged bars that seem to appear at all the soccer games don't use that kind.
Luckily my girls are old enough and strong enough to advocate for themselves.
You have to hear them sometime talking about how not to feed a gluten intolerant child.
I might even video tape them. Hmmmm....
My distributor has discontinued this product, alas.
My new suggestion is Similase GFCF. I've always suggested this product for patients who are both gluten free and dairy free.
What do you do when you get glutened?
Now why this product? And why the link?
Easy. this product I have used for over 6 years to make certain when my Kids go to an event with their soccer team, they don't get sick.
When we eat out at our favorite Thai place, we know that the chef knows to eliminate the soy sauce (typical soy sauce has wheat) but it seems like occasionally the message is not truly conveyed.
When my girls went off to sleep away camp for the first time, 5 nights! they brought along glutenzyme.
And for over 6 years, we haven't had the downstream problems that typically occur when we have been glutened. Yes, the ones that leave you knowing where every bathroom is in your community.
This company is careful to monitor its production lines so that when they say that there is
Microbial Enzymes 536 mg ** Assay Method
It truly contains exactly these enzymes.
And why the link? Because if you choose to purchase this product through Amazon, I will be paid a very small amount that helps to run this website.
